Orthodontic treatment for children and adolescents<\/h3>

The success of treatment depends heavily on cooperation, especially with children. Our experience shows that children feel comfortable with us and enjoy working with us – without any pressure. <\/p>

Using jaw growth at an early stage<\/h3>

We recommend bringing your child to our practice at an early age. Possible misalignments of the jaw and teeth can be detected as early as primary school age. If necessary, early orthodontic treatment can then begin – usually between the ages of 6 and 9. During this phase, the jaw is still growing so that misalignments can be corrected particularly gently and effectively. <\/p>

Early treatment – also keeping an eye on habits<\/h3>

Another important point is to break unfavorable habits such as thumb sucking, pacifier use, incorrect swallowing, tongue or lip pressing or nail biting as well as incorrect breathing. These habits can cause or even exacerbate malocclusions. <\/p>

The main treatment in the second phase of tooth replacement<\/h3>

As soon as your child goes through the second change of teeth – usually between the ages of 9 and 11 – the actual main orthodontic treatment can begin. In this phase, there are many options for adapting the treatment to the individual tooth and jaw misalignment. Depending on requirements, both removable and fixed appliances are used. We draw on the entire spectrum of modern orthodontics. <\/p>
