Why is orthodontics important?
Orthodontic treatment not only ensures a beautiful smile, but also healthy jaw joints, better chewing function, clearer pronunciation and long-term tooth preservation.
What types of braces do you use?
- Removable braces for children
- Fixed braces with metal or ceramic brackets for precise corrections, special feature: Beneslider, mini implants
- Invisible aligners for discreet tooth correction
- Lingual technique, in which the brackets are invisibly attached to the inside of the tooth
What happens after active treatment?
Then the retention phase begins, in which the esthetic result of the malocclusion treatment is maintained. Removable or fixed braces are used for this.
Is treatment possible in adulthood?
Yes, we can also successfully treat adults. Inconspicuous systems such as ceramic brackets, aligners or lingual technology, which enable discreet tooth corrections, are particularly popular.
Are the costs covered by health insurance?
- Children and adolescents up to the age of 18: Costs are covered by statutory health insurance if the deformity is sufficiently severe. (KIG classification)
- Adults: Costs are only covered in exceptional cases, e.g. in the case of severe jaw misalignment with surgical intervention.
- Private insurance: Reimbursement depends on the individual tariff.
- Supplementary insurance: Please note: They must be taken out before treatment!
