Removable braces for children and adolescents
Removable braces are mainly used for children and adolescents between the ages of four and sixteen. They make it possible to guide the growth of jaws and teeth in a targeted manner and gently accompany the change of teeth. The braces can be customized – with a favourite color or motif – and make treatment fun and attractive for your child.
With motivating support, we ensure that regular wearing leads to success. We also offer fixed alternatives for children for whom frequent wearing is difficult in everyday life.

There is a wide range of different braces that we customize to the respective tooth or jaw misalignment. The base is usually made of acrylate, which can be colored as desired, supplemented by passive retaining or active corrective elements made of stainless steel. In this way, the appliances can be optimally adapted to the needs of each child.
Active plates
Removable braces also include the so-called active plates according to Schwarz, which can be fitted with expansion screws if desired. According to the orthodontist’s instructions, the screw is adjusted to achieve a targeted widening of the jaw.
Functional orthodontic appliances
Functional orthodontic appliances are mainly used in children and adolescents to guide the natural growth of the jaw in a targeted manner. They use the muscular strength of the lips, cheeks and tongue to correct jaw misalignments at an early stage. The aim is to promote harmonious interaction between the jaw, teeth and facial development and to avoid – or shorten – later, more complex treatments as far as possible.

At what age are patients treated with loose braces?
The growth of teeth and jaws can be influenced very well from kindergarten age with removable appliances.
They are also suitable for adolescents – therapy with fixed braces can follow.
Are wishes for braces styling fulfilled?
When choosing braces, your children naturally have a say in the color selection.
What is the best way to store braces?
When it is not being worn, it can be stored safely and hygienically in a clasp box – which you will receive from us on site.
How long does the treatment take?
The duration depends on the tooth and jaw misalignment. Minor corrections are completed after just a few months, while more extensive treatments to correct teeth can sometimes take considerably longer.
Is the treatment painless?
A slight feeling of pressure may occur when inserting new braces. This usually disappears on its own in the short term.

Do the removable appliances have to be worn all day?
Please follow our recommendations. In general: wear at night and for a few hours during the day (approx. 10-14 hours).
What do you do when you eat and take care of your teeth?

There are no restrictions. After eating: Brush your teeth, insert your braces – done.
Simply remove to brush your teeth. Clean not only the teeth, but also the braces.
